F4D SN 65-0747 her History

Found out back in 2013 that the Infamous Joe Kittinger flew my F4D Phantom (SN 65-0747) at Udorn in 1972, and also had a MIG kill in it. Joe held the world record also for the highest jump from an aircraft, this case a Helium filled balloon, at over 19 miles up...Joe became aware that 65-0747 was located in Corsicana, Texas, and struck out on a campaign to acquire the jet and bring it to his home in Orlando, FL, where it rest here as you see it, at the Kittinger Air Park, 305 S Crystal Lake Dr Orlando, FL....

65-0747 REUNION

After a four year search for my F-4D, I finally had success in locating her! It was like searching for a needle in a haystack, and the odds were very slim that I would...Thanks to the internet, and a good friend who is an F-4 historian from the London, England area, the search for the elusive F-4D Serial Number 65-0747 was found...Went back in 2007 and here she was up on her  pedestal...

The following photos were taken on January 28, 2002 in Corsicana, Texas at the Navarro Community College, who acquired her from the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio....
